It’s been a good fall for Josey Marron, the impressive pitcher for the Iowa Premier Gold 18U, who helped her team win the Team 1 Showcase earlier this month following her September commit to the Bulldogs of Mississippi State.
A 2022 Extra Elite 100 honoree, Josey throws in the low-to-mid 60’s and is really effective with her late-breaking riseball. She also has a good drop-curve and change to make the Iowa native one of the top pitchers in the Midwest. This summer, the junior earned Extra Inning Softball All-Summer Team recognition as she compiled a 23-8 record with 2.07 ERA and had 283 strikeouts.
She and her Iowa Premier team are at the HFL West Fall Championships this weekend in College Station looking to get a bid to next summer’s Alliance Fastpitch National Championship. Click HERE to see scores and highlights from Friday night’s action.
