Everybody loves a good dinger, and Ella Parker gave the crowd a really good one to appreciate during the Alliance All-Star Game on Sunday night.
Parker, signed to go to Oklahoma and set to head to Norman in a matter of weeks, was one of forty players that took part in the All-Star Game. Made up of all seniors who are playing the last travel ball games of their careers, the ASG gave folks a chance to see what the players will look like facing top competition at the next level.
If Sunday’s results are any indication, Parker, for one, will be just fine when she gets to college.
In addition to her long home run, Parker also faced Texas-signed pitcher Teagan Kavan in the latter innings of the game. The face-off was a preview of things to come for the next few years, as the two are likely to face off quite a few times through their college careers at Texas and OU.
Following the All-Star Game, Extra Inning Softball talked to Ella Parker on the field about everything from that long home run to what she’s most excited for about getting to Norman. See the full post-game interview below.
