LSU-signed Tori Edwards certainly turned some heads with her bat on Sunday. Participating first in the Home Run Derby, then in the Alliance All-Star Game, Edwards’ bat was heavy and loud.
In the Derby, she hit a lot of balls high and plenty of them far, narrowly missing out on the event title. After a pair of exciting rounds at the plate, though, she earned a shout-out from the event emcee for her efforts.
Then, suiting up for the American team in the Alliance All-Star Game, Edwards wasted no time making a difference for her team, again with her bat, clubbing an RBI single that scored the game’s first run.
Following the All-Star Game, Extra Inning Softball talked with Edwards about her performance in both of Sunday’s events and her feelings on her travel ball career nearing an end as she readies to head to college.
