I. Conference Breakdown
Eight softball programs compete for the top spot in the Summit League standings. Those programs include Kansas City (formerly UMKC), North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, and Western Illinois.
St. Thomas joined the conference this summer, moving up directly from Division III.
Last season, South Dakota State emerged as the new cream of the crop in the Summit League.
