Katie Lively: Communications and Research Director
Katie Lively brings exceptional expertise to Extra Inning Softball. As a standout at Troy University, she excelled in every aspect of the game. In 2021, she earned First Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors, proving her dedication and skill.
Lively’s career highlights include a .303 batting average, 11 doubles, and seven home runs. Notably, her fielding was impeccable, achieving a perfect 1.000 percentage in four of five seasons. Her power at the plate and precision on the field set her apart.
Beyond softball, Lively treasures Sharing Cherished Santa Moments and family traditions from her childhood. During Christmas week, she and her cousins made homemade cards while staying at their grandparents’ house. This heartfelt tradition brought laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories.
These moments of togetherness, filled with joy and love, remain some of her most cherished holiday experiences.
Jessie Warren: Athlete Development Specialist
Jessie Warren’s career at Florida State University is one for the record books. A three-time All-American, she played a pivotal role in leading the Seminoles to their first-ever national championship in 2018.
Warren’s unforgettable performance earned her the title of Most Outstanding Player at the Women’s College World Series, cementing her status as one of the top players in Florida State history.
Following her collegiate success, Warren spent the last four years competing professionally with Athletes Unlimited, where she continues to shine on the field. In 2023, Warren was recognized as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year, showcasing her remarkable skill and commitment to excellence.
Jessie’s favorite Christmas tradition has always been gathering with family to take photos in front of the beautifully decorated Christmas tree before opening gifts on Christmas morning. It’s a cherished moment that captures the joy and anticipation of the day while creating lasting memories to look back on year after year.
Jayden Mount: Editorial Manager
Jayden Mount brings an exceptional softball background to her role as Editorial Manager for Extra Inning Softball. A standout player, she earned recognition as a 2nd Team All-Sun Belt and 2nd Team All-South Region shortstop in 2018. Her contributions were pivotal to her team’s success that year.
After her playing career, Mount transitioned to coaching and served as Assistant Softball Coach at the University of South Alabama. Her tenure spanned from August 2022 to May 2024, where she made a significant impact.
One of Mount’s favorite childhood Christmas memories reflects her family’s deep faith. Before opening presents, her family gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” to baby Jesus, celebrating the holiday’s true meaning. They used the traditional “Happy Birthday” tune, creating a joyful and heartfelt moment for everyone.
