We have 52 new player changes, including new club teams and new college teams, as we get updates coming from major club events.
What we’re seeing, for example, are updated team rosters from events such as the DeMarini Invitational Showcase in Glen Elyn, Illinois–which we are covering and live streaming on the IlluminateSports.com channel–and inevitably we’re seeing players who’ve switched teams or, in some cases after a college coach was fired, standout seniors (2018 grads) have gotten their releases and moved on to a new school.
On interesting case is Montana Fouts, who will “retire,” if you will, from club ball back with the organization she made her name with, the Beverly Bandits, even though she won’t make Nationals or the PGF All-American Game which she was selected to as she’ll be with her Alabama Tide team playing over in Japan before she starts her freshman year at the SEC school.
A noteworthy example of a star senior player being allowed to change college teams is Nikki Cuchran from Illinois who got her release after DePaul made a coaching change and she is now headed to Northwestern.
With our other projects ranging from the Louisville Slugger Hit Club to the Extra Inning Softball High School All-American Teams, we’ve also found changes which resulted in more than 50 since our last update (and we’ll likely have hundreds more once everything settles by the end of the summer!).
Quite the diverse range of universities too–this week we have updated info ranging from Auburn to UNC-Wilmington and stops in-between including ACC, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC programs…
