Harding head coach Ashley Reeves earned her 100th career win on Friday in a 3-0 triumph over Ouachita Baptist.
As the Lady Bisons’ leader celebrates her milestone achievement, here are Five Fast Facts about her career.
1. She is in her second season as the Harding head coach.
Hired as the Lady Bisons’ head coach in June 2021, Reeves has spent the last two years leading the program. In 2022, Harding recorded 38 wins and have already won 32 games during the 2023 season.
2. Prior to coaching at Harding University, she had coached at Harding Academy.
Now living in Searcy as the Harding University head coach, Reeves’ coaching resume also includes a stint as head coach at Harding Academy, a private school also in Searcy. She spent three years as the Harding Academy softball coach, while also coaching with the volleyball and basketball teams.
3. She served two separate stints on staff at Abilene Christian.
Reeves began her collegiate coaching career on staff at Abilene Christian in 2012. After departing the program, she returned in 2014 and was later promoted to associate head coach.
4. She is just the second coach in Harding program history.
After the Lady Bisons restarted their program in 2014, Reeves is just the second person to serve the program as head coach. She followed longtime leader Phil Berry, who resurrected the program and spent eight years as head coach.
5. She played college softball at Texas Tech.
A four-year starter during her own collegiate playing career, Reeves earned all-Big 12 honors in 2004, ’06, and ’07, including first-team honors twice. She also earned all-region honors during her senior year.
