Former, Current College Softball Stars Dot USA Women’s Baseball Training Camp Roster

The USA Women’s Baseball program announced on Sunday the 37-member roster of invitees to the Women’s National Team Training Camp.

A number of current and former college softball standouts are included on the roster of invited players.

The training camp is set to begin July 10th, with the national team’s 20-member roster announced on July 13th. The squad will participate in the Women’s Baseball World Cup in Ontario, Canada in mid-August.

Former UAB catcher Anna Kimbrell headlines the roster of invited players, seeking to make her 11th appearance on a USA Baseball national team roster during her career. Former Arizona State and Louisiana-Lafayette infielder Jade Gortarez is seeking to make her 8th appearance in red, white, and blue on the baseball diamond.

In addition to Kimbrell and Gortarez, former college softball stars seeking to return to the national team’s baseball roster include former Nicholls State standout Amanda Gianelloni, ex-Washington star Kylee Lahners, and Georgia great Alex Hugo.

Florida International infielder Ashton Lansdell is also included in the pool of invitees; Lansdell played her first season at FIU in 2023.
