Introducing the Commit Crew: Extra Inning Softball’s New Initiative to Empower Future Stars
This past week, Extra Inning Softball launched the Commit Crew, our newest initiative spotlighting Class of 2026 players who have already committed to Power 4 schools. This program aims to empower these athletes, giving them the tools and guidance they need to navigate the increasingly important world of personal branding and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities as they prepare for their college careers. Each week, the Commit Crew series will feature a new athlete, with the goal of providing insights and support that go beyond the field.
The Commit Crew kicked off with Macie Dever Boaz, a standout catcher from Northpoint Christian School in Mississippi, who recently committed to the University of Arkansas. Dever Boaz’s commitment not only celebrates her athletic accomplishments but also marks her as a role model for younger players looking to pursue softball at the highest levels. Through our series, Dever Boaz and her peers will share advice, personal stories, and strategies for balancing sports with academics, community involvement, and self-development.
Building a Platform and Preparing for the Future
The Commit Crew aims to guide these young athletes in building a personal platform, a skill essential in today’s sports landscape. By engaging with fans, teammates, and younger players, each featured athlete will learn how to effectively connect and communicate with a wider audience. As NIL regulations evolve, having an established, positive brand can open doors for these athletes, providing both visibility and future opportunities. We hope to offer Commit Crew athletes tips and advice on social media management, public speaking, and representing themselves authentically to pave the way for their careers.
Empowering the Next Generation of Softball Players
Extra Inning Softball is deeply committed to inspiring and supporting the next generation of softball players, and the Commit Crew was created to amplify this mission. Each story we share not only highlights the hard work and resilience of these players but also serves as an inspiration for the younger athletes who follow them. By reading about Dever Boaz’s journey and future aspirations, for instance, younger players gain insights into the dedication and drive it takes to succeed, as well as practical advice on improving their own game.
Connecting, Inspiring, and Growing the Game
The Commit Crew is also about community. Each feature encourages athletes to connect with their fans, engage with younger players, and share their stories to inspire others. By spotlighting these athletes and offering them a platform, Extra Inning Softball is committed to growing the game, strengthening its community, and supporting the dreams of athletes on their journeys. Through the Commit Crew, we look forward to empowering these young women and building the foundation for their bright futures in softball.
