The Extra Inning Softball Regional and National Power Rankings recognize the top softball players nationwide using our proprietary SERV™ methodology: Software, Evaluation, Research, and Verification. Learn more here →
How SERV™ Works
Every ranking runs through four steps, built to reward what an athlete actually does on the field, not name recognition, reputation, or popularity.
Software
Our technology organizes every nomination, athlete profile, stat line, and piece of ranking data in one place.
Evaluation
Athletes are evaluated on skills, impact, production, measurables, and other relevant information.
Research
We dig into performance history, accomplishments, team information, and supporting evidence.
Verification
Information is checked and confirmed before any final ranking is established.
National Recognition Tiers
Our national rankings have no ties. Every athlete earns an actual national placement.
Extra Elite 100
Ranked 1–100The top 100 athletes in the country.
Extra Select
Ranked 101–200The next wave of the nation's best.
Extra Prospect
Ranked 201–300Rising athletes with national-level talent.
Regional Rankings
We rank athletes in six regions across the country, so standout players get recognized close to home. The strongest regional candidates advance into national rankings consideration.
Ranked by committee, not by opinion.
Our Rankings Committee reviews every athlete, so no ranking comes down to the view of a single person.
