East Coweta Softball Claims GHSA 6A State Championship with Dominant 2024 Season

Nestled in Sharpsburg, Georgia, East Coweta High School Softball has established itself as a powerhouse in the state’s highest classification. With 19 region championships and four state titles since 2004, the program has become synonymous with consistency and success. Under the leadership of Coach Franklin DeLoach, East Coweta Softball prides itself on fostering not just elite athletes but also great teammates who enjoy the ups and downs of the journey.

In 2024, East Coweta’s varsity team added another accolade to their storied history, capturing the GHSA 6A State Championship with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Buford. Finishing the season with a 37-1 record, and a #3 ranking from MaxPreps, the program demonstrated why it remains a perennial contender. Coach DeLoach credits the program’s sustained success to its core values: playing the game the right way, being a great teammate, and finding joy in the journey.
