This month, after many years of honoring players as part of our Extra Elite 100 player series, we’re once again honor those men and women who help the athletes live their dreams: the club coaches!
Why feature coach rankings? The same reasons we do player ones: 1) to honor those who work so hard in the sport, and 2) to bring recognition to all the good they do on the field and in community.
Previously, we’ve spotlighted those in the college and high school ranks; here’s the schedule this week for the Extra Elite 100 Club Coaches for 2021:
- Monday, Dec. 27, 2021: #’s 50-41
- Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021: #’s 40-31
- Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021: #’s 30-21
- Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021: #’s 20-11
- Friday, Dec. 31, 2021: #’s 10-1
- Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022: List of 1-50 & #’s 51-100
The criteria we’re looking at starts with these all being active coaches and encompasses their overall resumes including on-field accomplishments (record, championships, top finishes, longevity, player development) as well as off-field impact (presence in the community, passion and contributions to the sport).
Additionally, this year we surveyed close to 200 club coaches and asked who THEY felt were impactful—their input was considered heavily in the final rankings!
