December is our month to honor those men and women who help the athletes live their dreams: the coaches!
Why are we featuring coach rankings? The same reasons we recognize standout players: 1) to honor those who work so hard in the sport, and 2) to create dialog and recognition for all the good these individuals do on the field and in community.
This week we’re spotlighting those in the travel ball world after covering the high ranks last week… Here’s this month’s schedule:
- Dec. 7 – Dec. 11: Extra Elite 100 High School Coach Rankings
- Dec. 14 – Dec. 18: Extra Elite 100 Club Coach Rankings
- Dec. 21 – Dec. 25: Extra Elite 100 College Coach Rankings
The criteria we’re looking at starts with these all being active coaches, still in the dugouts and on the fields.
We’re also weighing overall resumes including on-field accomplishments (record, championships and top finishes, longevity, player development) as well as off-field impact (presence in the community, passion and contributions to the sport).
