Since Extra Inning Softball begin more than five years ago, the subscription prices have not increased one penny, but due to rising costs—including travel to top events nationwide and new site features upcoming (see below)—rates will be going up for NEW subscribers who sign up for a sub on or after March 15, 2023 for monthly, quarterly and annual site access.
That’s the bad news as the new rates will see monthly go from $15 to $18, quarterly from $36 to $40 and annuals from $110 to $125. However… there is good news, too:
… that new rate is just for new subscribers. Current subscribers will stay at the original pricing.
Also, Extra Inning Softball is rolling out a new subscription plan for TEAMS that is sure to be a hit (hopefully for extra bases… see what we did there?) which will have three “Tiers:”
Team Subscription Pricing (40% off new individual pricing)
- Tier 1: allows up to 15 subs = $1,125.00 (value of $1,875)
- Tier 2: allows up to 30 subs = $2,250.00 (value of $3,750)
- Tier 3: Enterprise (30 or more users; contact EIS for special pricing)
In other words, the TEAM subs will be on a Spring SALE of 40% off from March 15th – June 15th.
From the beginning (2018) up til now, Extra Inning Softball has provided daily content—last year (2022), the site averaged 5.5 stories per day!—and has also added:
- an event directory
- a college editor
- a club/high school correspondent
- podcasts
- Team, Coach, Regional and Position ratings (as part of the ever-popular Extra Elite 100 rankings series)
- three full-time staff members
New areas of expansion to look for coming up in 2023 include:
- player profiles
- leaderboards
- live streaming
- video highlights
- joint ventures with premier sports companies
- EIS staff expansion
