Oklahoma remains the unanimous top-ranked team in the Week 2 Extra Inning Softball Top 25 poll, earning every first-place vote and continuing their reign as the nation’s best team.
Coming off a weekend that included two hard-fought wins over Virginia Tech, Alabama maintains their position as the #2 team in the nation; St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational champion Florida State rises to #3 in the poll.
Both Florida and Washington maintain top-5 positions after quality weekends that included wins over ranked opponents. Despite two close losses to Alabama, Virginia Tech also maintains a position in the top-10.
Following multiple losses at the Clearwater tournament, multiple teams fell in the rankings. UCLA now sits at #11 in the nation, while Oklahoma State is #17, Michigan is #18, and Tennessee falls to #20. Georgia also fell three spots in the poll, to #23, following a loss to Boston University.
After a 9-1 start to the season, Auburn enters the Top 25 for the first time this season, vaulting all the way up to #12. Also joining the poll for the first time are Charlotte; South Florida; Arizona State; and Ohio State.
