National Club Team of the Week:

Texas Riptide 14U – Campbell

It’s hard to go against the Riptide as our first National Club Team of the Week for the summer of 2022 as Sam Campbell’s team won the 14U Maverick age division at the Top Gun Invitational with a 11-0 mark and wasn’t really challenged in a strong field.

The team won the final 10-0 and for the week batted .463 with a .527 on-base percentage and stole 66 bases with 75 RBIs collectively

Alisa Sneed of the Riptide

Outstanding outfielder Alisa Sneed, ranked No. 1 in the 2025 Extra Elite 100, showed how she can take over an event by hitting five home runs, knocking in 23 and hitting .560 with a .613 on-base percentage and a 2.093 OPS

Fellow 2025 outfielder Khamari Hall led the team with 20 hits and 15 runs scored while batting .690 and compiling a .727 on-base percentage. Special mention too for Marigny Thomas who batted .737 and Avery Evans-Pickens who hit .714 with a 1.071 slugging percentage

The pitching was also strong as 2027 Hunter Quentel threw 32 K’s in 23 innings going 6-0 with only one earned run for the event while 2025 Ella Lozano compiled a 5-0 record including a 10-0 shutout in the title game.

“On behalf of Texas Riptide,” Coach Campbell said earlier today, “I would like to thank Extra Inning Softball for naming us Club National Team of the Week!  Riptide’s success is cemented in trusting the process, hard work and dedication.  We challenge ourselves to get better every day and leave it all on the field.”
