Have you wondered what college coaches are now saying and doing with their previously committed recruits?

In her latest blog for Extra Inning Softball, Florida verbal Keagan Rothrock explains her experiences with the new recruiting rules in place…
Keagan Rothrock is one of the top players in the Class of 2023 and made national news last fall when she and Mia Williams became the first commits in the 7th grade class when both chose the Florida Gators—Mia verballed in October and Keagan in mid-December (she also had heavy interest from Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC schools).
Keagan is 12U eligible, but plays at 14U with the Beverly Bandits Futures Premier team coached by Ramsey Harkness and is the ace on one of three Beverly Bandits teams to make the Extra Inning Softball Elite Club 50 Team Rankings.
Two years ago, Keagan helped TN Mojo 2023 win the PGF 10U National Championship and in 2017, as a first-year player, she pitched the Bandits to a 3rd place finish at PGF 12U Nationals.
Already, she’s been clocked at 64 mph with her set-up pitches being her screwball and curve and her strikeout pitch being her high and low riseballs. Her spin is impressive, too, as her curve revs mark is 29 and her rise is 39.

For me, early recruiting has indeed impacted my life in an amazing way. But now that the rule actually has changed, it will impact me even more.
In more ways than one… here are some as I see them:
