I Committed: Addie McCullers Accepts Chapel Hill’s Offer

Addison McCullers will spend her collegiate years as a University of North Carolina Tar Heel.

Addison (“Addie”) McCullers, a 2025 middle-infielder for the Virginia Glory National—Mertz, accepted an offer to continue her softball career at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on September 19th.

She first joined the Glory organization at the young age of seven, and has stuck with the program since. For years, she has carried the nickname “Dirty 30” on her club team, as she is consistently diving for balls in the dirt and making excellent plays.

“At 5’10”, she covers a lot of ground and has developed excellent footwork, speed of play, and communication skills,” shared her club coach, Mike Mertz. “Addie is so fun to watch and her passion and enthusiasm are always on display. Over and above her talent, she’s the ultimate culture kid and competitor. She is a special teammate, human being, and is our 2025 Team Captain.”
