Toledo head coach Joe Abraham is departing the Rockets’ program, the school announced on Monday.
Abraham spent four years as the program’s head coach, posting an 83-99 overall record and a 36-46 mark in Mid-American Conference play. A press release described Abraham’s departure as allowing him “to pursue other opportunities”.
In 2019, Abraham’s first season, the Rockets won the MAC tournament championship and played in the NCAA tournament. The Rockets finished the 2022 season with a 12-37 overall record that included a 5-21 mark in MAC league play.
Prior to his tenure at Toledo, Abraham was the head coach at Hillsdale College from 2012-18 and his resume also includes a tenure as head coach at Whitworth University from 2008-11.
