Oklahoma State shortstop Kiley Naomi has been named the Extra Inning Softball Player of the Week for her efforts during Week 2 of the Division 1 softball season.
During her team’s five-game stay at the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational, Naomi batted .583 with four home runs and twelve RBIs.
Naomi reached base safely via a hit in each of her team’s games and recorded at least one RBI in four of the five games over the weekend.
In the tournament opener against Texas A&M, Naomi was 1-2 at the plate with a home run, two RBIs, and two walks. Later, in a matchup against Nebraska, she earned another walk, recorded one base hit, and scored twice.
Naomi’s most impressive performance came in a hard-fought battle with Virginia Tech, when she hit two home runs in a 2-3 day at the plate and notched four RBIs. She also earned her fourth walk of the weekend in the game.
In a doubleheader to close out the weekend, Naomi posted another 4-RBI game against Louisiana, hitting her 4th home run of the weekend and earning her 5th walk. In the tournament finale vs. Michigan, she was 2-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored.
