National Club Player of the Week (October 5, 2023)

The fall club season still features some outstanding upcoming tournaments including Sand Dollar (Oct. 13-15), Eastern Elite Fall (Oct. 13-15), Rey Seymour Invitational (Oct. 20-22), Team 1 Connect (Oct. 27-29), River City Showcase (Oct. 28-29) and Scenic City Fall (Nov. 3-5).

Throughout the fall club season, Extra Inning Softball will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of players from across the country.

Extra Inning Softball National Club Player of the Week

Ainsley O’Dell has been selected as the Extra Inning Softball National Club Player of the Week. She plays for the Texas Blaze (Fla.) Johnson 16U team and Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Fla.

O’Dell helped lead the Blaze to a 6-1 record at the PGF Super 40 Tournament.

She batted .385 over the seven games and led the team with nine RBIs. She also had a double and a triple on the weekend.

Backstopping the Blaze pitching staff, O’Dell threw out the only two runners who attempted to steal.

O’Dell is ranked 144th in the Extra Inning Softball Class of 2026 position rankings.

Started the fall season amazingly, my team went 6-1, I hit .385 on the weekend while leading the team in RBI’s with 9, with 12 innings caught I threw out the only 2 runners that attempted to steal on me. Other Top Performances:

Jocelyn Cushard of Indiana Magic Gold 09 Zachary. Cushard helped lead the Magic Gold to a 4-1 record on the week by posting a 0.60 earned run average in three games. She recorded 15 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched and picked up three victories.
