The fall high school softball season is beginning to wind down as district, regional and state playoffs will soon be contested in Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Georgia and Colorado.
Throughout the fall softball season Extra Inning Softball will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of players from across the country.

Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week
After an outstanding week at the plate, Kandace Burnett has been selected as the Extra Inning Softball National High School Player of the Week. Burnett plays for Southmoore High School in Moore, Okla.
Burnett helped lead the Sabercats to a Region 2 championship by posting a 3-0 record.
Batting second in the lineup, Burnett finished the week 6-for-11 (.545) at the plate and scored six runs.
She also added two RBIs and two stolen bases in the three games.
For the season, Burnett leads Southmoore with a .421 batting average and has drive in 21 runs during the fall. Additionally, she has struck out only one time all season.
Southmoore, who is 21-11 on the season, will begin its pursuit of an Oklahoma state championship on Oct. 12 against Moore High School.
The state semifinals will be played on Oct. 13 and the state championship will be contested on Oct. 14.
The Oklahoma state championship game will be played at Marita Hynes Field at the University of Oklahoma.
Other Top Performances:
Chloe Smith of Villa Rica (Ga.) was named MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week. Smith clubbed four home runs, slugged 2.875 and also twirled a three-inning no-hitter last week for the Wildcats.
