After a solid pair of games on Thursday night served as a soft opening to the Super Regional round, Friday’s slate of games did not disappoint.

The pair of early-starting series (Texas vs. Alabama & Oklahoma State vs. Florida State) have been exciting with both advancing to a winner-take-all Game 3.

Here’s a rundown of the games in each of the eight Super Regionals:

Minneapolis

In Minneapolis, LSU got out to a 3-0 lead over Minnesota in the Gophers’ first-ever hosted Super Regional game, but the Gophers made a comeback thanks to the rubber arm of Amber Fiser and some hot bats.

Shelbi Sunseri got the start in the circle for LSU, later pulled in favor of Maribeth Gorsuch, who was called for a number of illegal pitches that became a prominent sideshow as the game went on.

Amber Serrett of LSU added a solo home run in the game, as did Maddie Houlihan of Minnesota, and the game was played in front of a crowd of more than 1,300.

The atmosphere in Minneapolis was electric and undoubtedly made a difference for the Gophers in their comeback efforts who won 5-3.
