Nikki Palmer Sets UC Riverside Career Wins Mark

UC-Riverside head coach Nikki Palmer set the program’s all-time coaching wins record on Sunday.

A 6-5 win over Cal Poly marked the 151st victory of Palmer’s career at UC Riverside and officially gave her sole possession of first place on the program’s career wins list.

Palmer, who has served as the Highlanders’ head coach since September 2016, is now in her seventh season leading the program. She previously served as head coach at Utah Valley for three seasons and currently serves a dual role as the head coach of the Israeli national team.

In 2022, Palmer’s Highlanders set a record by winning six conference series’ during Big West play. The program also recorded a 16-0 win during the ’22 campaign, the largest margin of victory as a Division 1 program.

As a player, Palmer spent four seasons as the starting catcher at UC San Diego.
