Sadye Johnson from Adairsville, Georgia and a member of Atlanta Premier Gold has won her share of trophies but they haven’t just been in softball.

There are so many softball players across America—actually, let’s re-phrase that: there are so many GREAT softball players in this country—it can be a daunting task to quantify (or qualify) how they compare or, even, understand how each is unique in her own way.

Sadye Johnson is one such unique student-athlete and is much more than just a talented fastpitch talent who will play at the next level; she’s got quite the story to tell in many other areas as well.

Sadye is seen her signing with the North Georgia Nighthawks last November.

The 2021 catcher/third baseman from Adairsville Georgia plays travel softball for one of the top travel ball organizations in the nation, Atlanta Premier Gold – Locke, and between the lines is known as a power hitter with a cannon of an arm behind the plate and at third as well.

She committed and signed to play at the University of North Georgia and is expected to be an impact player for the school in her home state.

“Sadye just seems to always come up with the big home run,” says her club coach, Steven Locke. “She is just one of those hitters that, whenever she steps up to the plate, I think to myself, ‘How far is she gonna hit this one?’”

At Adairsville High School in Georgia, Sadye broke the freshman home run record (11) for the school and region, which also tied for the Peach State’s freshman home run record.

But softball is not the only field of competition where the senior has left her mark.

The talented athlete played a high level of soccer for all four years at Adairsville, earning All-Region honors and helping lead her team to the Region championship in 2021 and to the first round of state finals.

And if that isn’t enough to keep her busy, Sadye is also quite vocal cheering on her school’s basketball team… literally… as a member of the Adairsville High varsity cheerleading team.

When she’s not giving her all in a Raiders softball, soccer of cheerleading uniform or elevating her fastpitch skills for AP Gold 18U, she can be found helping lead her Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) unit to four consecutive national titles.
