Today is the big day, when the FINAL 2021 Extra Elite 100 kicks off!

One of the returning seniors who made the previous Class of 2021 rankings Top 50 was Hannah Slike, the outstanding catcher who plays for one of the top club programs in softball history: Bruce Richardson’s So Cal Athletics 18U team.
How good are the A’s?
In the 11 years of the PGF Nationals, the Athletics team has never finished lower than 7th and has won four of the 18U titles (the first four). Overall, the 18U team has won a total of six national championships.
One of the leaders over the last several years has been Hannah, who we update here and learn one of the big things she’s done for the A’s that has only been accomplished four times in the last two decades!

How was your summer?
We didn’t have the summer we planned on due to COVID however we were able to end the season in Oklahoma at the ASA Nationals.
How do the A’s look heading into 2021?
As I’m starting my senior year, we only have five returners from last year and have traveled to Utah and Arizona to play games. Our team is very young but based on our first few weekends of playing and team practices, we have a lot of potential.
What’s it been like to have played for Coach Richardson over the last few years?
I am very proud to have played for Bruce at the 18U level since my freshman year, he told me only four other players have done this in over 20 years. He has always believed and in me and gave me many opportunities to contribute on the field. This includes catching every national tournament game for the team in the last three years. I was also honored to be a captain as a junior on Bruce’s team and am a captain again for my senior season.
