One of the seniors who made a big jump up the rankings in the 2021 Extra Elite 100 was Kendall Klochack, a lefty pitcher who attends Grand Blanc (Michigan) High and has earned 1st Team All-State honors as well as winning a state title.
Ranked in the Top 20 of the rankings, Kendall went 20-5 with a 1.20 ERA and also hit .536 at the high school level while having a great year playing for Kevin O’Donnell’s Intensity 18U national team.
Said Coach O’Donnell: “Kendall has a big upside and will be an impact player for Purdue. She’s dedicated to be in peak physical shape and constantly working on her craft as a pitcher.”

Was your signing a big occasion or more low-key?
This was a big occasion for me and my family.
Did you do anything to celebrate the big day?
We set up a table and decorations all having to do with Purdue in my living room and signed it there! We made a cake in the shape of the “P” logo for Purdue for desert tonight as well!
What date did you actually commit and how long ago was it?
I committed on Friday November 22, 2019 so about a year ago.
What highlight stands out to you about the recruiting process?
The visit on campus was super fun and awesome! After I left that weekend, I knew Purdue University was the place I wanted to be because it felt like a home away from home.
What was the “aha” moment when you knew the program was the right one for you?
During breakfast with the coaches and some members of the team, I saw how close the coaching staff are to their players and how close the players are to each other. The culture at Purdue of thriving both academically and athletically helped seal the deal for me.
