On the heels of releasing the Extra Elite 100 recruits for the Class of 2022, Extra Inning Softball has announced the schedule of the Extra Elite 50 14U Club Rankings which will include many of these elite players.
Beginning the day after Easter–a week from Monday–the 14U team ratings and spotlights will go as follows:
- Mon., April 2—team #’s 50-41
- Tue., April 3—team #’s 40-31
- Wed., April 4—team #’s 30-21
- Thu., April 5—team #’s 20-11
- Fri., April 6—team #’s 10-1
- Sat., April 7—team #’s 51-100
Early indications show it will be a strong year for the age division on the West Coast but there are other teams nationally–especially in the South, in Texas and in the Midwest–that are capable of making noise come this summer at key events.
We’re still collecting data and recommendations, but the window to submit information closes Wednesday, March 28 at 9 pm EST so if you want to have your favorite team considered, send the following info in by that cutoff deadline:
- team name, head coach and location (city/state)
- 2017 record (summer primarily, also fall if available)
- top accomplishments (finishes at key nationals, showcases and other events)
- key returning players, their strengths & standout performances of note
- new players to watch & why they’ll make a difference
- recruiting info as relevant (ex: “8 players committed to ACC, SEC schools)
- 2018 events where the team can be seen (ex: qualified for PGF Nationals or playing at Scenic City)
- any other relevant info to support the team’s ranking
- a team photo, too
The deciding factors in the ratings will include college and club coach recommendations, our staff and network observations, club team performances and results from the summer and fall along with the return of key players and the addition of talented new ones.
