It’s the most wonderful time of the year if you’re a senior softball player and signing with your dream school today, the first day of the Signing Period for the 2023 class!
As we at Extra Inning Softball go over the lists, peruse the stat sheets and press releases and look at which college programs scored big-time with talented recruits, we came across the info below of which schools will ink the MOST 2023 Extra Elite 100 players.
Remember, though, that quantity isn’t always better than quality–but if these athletes are in the Extra Elite 100, they must be pretty good at some level!
Florida cleaned up big-time, as you’ll see below and when we run our final 10-1 rankings which will reveal (Spoiler Alert!) that the Gators will have four in the Top 10 alone! And if you’re fans of Oklahoma, Florida State and some others, you’ll have reason to smile based on this signing classes expected today…
But fewer can be awesome too, when you look at the ones being signed… take UCLA, for instance, which has two Top 10 players who will head to Westwood next fall and should make an early impact.
And then there’s the Bayou Tigers which has stocked up on quantity and quality with nearly a full team of prospects who will be inked today! Congrats to everyone–teams and players–who are taking the steps to play at the next level…
