Paige Rydalch, a sophomore at Snow College, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on Monday.
Snow College, a two-year school in Utah, announced Rydalch’s passing in a statement on Monday.
“This has shocked and saddened our softball family. We know Paige, and we love her,” Snow College Vice President for External Affairs Rob Nielson said. Nielson also helped coach the softball team during the 2022 season. “She was a dedicated player who always put in the extra mile. She made others feel loved and had a work ethic like no other.”
Stacie McIff, Snow College’s President, said, “A tragedy like this impacts all of us. We are grieving the loss of a beloved young woman. We will do all we can to support Paige’s coaches, teammates, classmates, and family during this difficult time.”
During her freshman season at Snow, Rydalch batted .338 with 23 hits in 68 at-bats. She hit three home runs and scored 22 runs.
Rydalch is survived by her parents and a younger brother. The Snow College softball team will dedicate their season to Rydalch in honor of the way she lived her life on and off the field.
