The Terrific Ten has you covered on all the best highlights from all the action across college softball on Thursday!

*****

1. Arkansas pitcher Robyn Herron continued her hot streak to begin her freshman season, throwing a 1-hit shutout over Iowa State on Thursday. Herron recorded 12 strikeouts, already her third double-digit strikeout performance of the season. Herron is the first Razorback freshman since 2018 to post multiple complete-game shutouts in her rookie year.

2. A pair of wins started Michigan’s stay at the Judi Garman Classic in impressive fashion. A shutout victory over UCF started the day before an extra-innings defeat of Cal State Fullerton wrapped up the 2-0 showing to open the tournament. Against UCF, Jessica LeBeau threw a 3-hit shutout, striking out ten, while the evening finale saw Lauren Derkowski go a full eight innings in the circle, striking out fourteen and giving up four hits and one unearned run.

3. The Ohio offense showed out on Thursday with a 16-run outpouring in a run-rule-shortened win over Dayton. The Bobcats scored six runs in the second inning, seven runs in the fourth, and added three runs in the fifth en route to a 16-0 final score. It was, by far, the most significant offensive showing of the Jenna Hall era and included four extra base hits from the Bobcat hitters. Ten players recorded at least one RBI in the game, including a 4-RBI showing from shortstop Austy Miller.

4. A pair of runs in the first and fourth innings were all that South Florida needed to secure a win over Kansas, while Payton Dixon and Antoinette Hill combined for a solid showing in the circle en route to the Bulls’ win over the Jayhawks. Dixon had four strikeouts and allowed five hits and one run in her 4.1 innings of work, while Hill closed the game with 2.2 innings of 3-hit ball.

5.Niagara pitcher Maddie Hickingbottom threw a gem against St. Bonaventure to get her team off on the right foot down in Hawaii. Hickingbottom recorded nine strikeouts in the game, giving up just two hits and a walk en route to the complete-game victory. It was her first win of the season and her highest single-game strikeout total since April of 2022.
