EXTRA ELITE SPOTLIGHT: MACKENZIE VENTURA
RHP/3B Mackenzie Ventura, #41 in the 2026 Extra Elite 100, recently talked to Extra Inning Softball about Fury Premier 2026-Ventura, working a lot at home, PGF Nationals, Scenic City, Beverly Bandits-Norwood, sports medicine, a personable coach, her dad, Drake, Kanye West and Eminem, “The Vampire Diaries” and vacuuming.

Travel Ball Highlights/Fall Stats: Played in the PGF national championship game (2021); Pitching Stats — 13-2, 1.56 ERA, 102 strikeouts, gave up 9 walks; Batting Stats — .407 AVG, 26 RBIs, 33 runs, 20 SBs, 5 HRs, 8 triples and .967 fielding percentage.
Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? TN Fury Premier 2026, owned by Pat Moyer. I like this organization because the owner is very involved with all players and families. I joined Fury in (2021) after finishing up my summer season with So Cal Choppers-Franco.
Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? My training suggestions are working a lot at home, including core workouts and spinning the ball all the time.

Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals this summer? I have played in PGF Nationals three times now and it is played in my hometown, and I love playing in front of my friends and family. It is a great experience for any softball player and I have made a lot of great memories with my team.
What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? My favorite fall tournament was Scenic City because I hit three home runs and my team went 4-1 .
Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? My toughest opponent was Beverly Bandits-Norwood because they always fight back and is a great team overall.

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? My occupation I am interested in is sports medicine doctor because I can still be involved with sports and I also get to give back by helping people.
What are you looking for in a future college? I want a very involved personable coach. I would like if the campus was also safe and clean. My dream college is Ole Miss.
Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero is my dad because he pushes me to be my best self every day and surround myself with positive same-thinking individuals. I want to thank my dad for seeing my potential and never giving up on me. He is my biggest fan and even though he is tough on me.
What’s the best hype song and why? The best hype song is “Forever” by Drake, Kanye West and Eminem.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? My favorite TV show is “The Vampire Diaries” because it is my comfort show.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I am really good at vacuuming. I like to vacuum because it is satisfying.
