HFL ACTION FROM THIS PAST WEEKEND
The HFL had some action this past weekend in Muskogee, OK, with the NWA Freedom Fest at Love-Haybox Sports Complex.
Diamond Girls 05 rallied to beat Select Fastpitch 12U, 6-5 and 4-1, to win the 14U championship, Tulsa Elite ended up beating 04 Texas Glory MO for the 16U title and Arkansas Lethal defeated Tulsa Shootout Gold, 2-1 in ITB for the 18U title.
“The Freedom Fest Event is another great example of how the Fastpitch League system will work,” HFL deputy commissioner Greg Dickel said. “The event was powered by the HFL this weekend, and it brought many great teams to East Central Oklahoma and the great venue at Love-Hatbox. The power clubs of Select Fastpitch, Tulsa Elite, Oklahoma Athletics and Iowa Premier, to name a few, had teams entered. The HFL looks to partner with these type of events to provide elite level fastpitch opportunities on a regional scale. We are excited for what the future holds in Oklahoma and Arkansas.”
