The Last Inning (June 3, 2020): Introducing the Softball Bound App; PGF All-Star Game Rosters Announced

Pitcher Allison Royalty only gave up one run all week while striking out 44 in 22 2/3rd innings at last year’s PGF Nationals as her A’s – Mercado/Smith team won the 18U Premiere title. This summer, she’ll present the East Team in the PGF All-American Game.

SOFTBALL BOUND APP

Parents and players are constantly trying to find information about colleges during the recruiting process and it can become overwhelming at times.

Ryan Taylor (no relation to Ryan Taylor of Aces Fastpitch Club) of AllTeamz and creator of the Softball Bound App, which is an incredible resource for parents and players.

“I built Softball Bound because as a coach I had a relationship with lots of coaches, but what I didn’t have was an established relationship with 1,100 of them,” Taylor said. “I kept a spreadsheet of coaches and schools and, as I interacted with them, I updated it, adding notes.”

“Skip ahead a year and the spreadsheet was outdated. Enter my app idea, one that automatically updates with all of the latest coach changes, sends you a notification to let you know that’s happened in real-time and adds the ability for customers to manage a ‘favorites’ list.”

“No silly app store update necessary, you’re going to get the latest information as soon as it’s available. Imagine being the first person through the door to congratulate that new coach, if for no other reason than to establish contact, and then create a relationship.”

The Softball Bound App delivers contact info for the coaches, average yearly cost, graduation rate, percentage of freshmen returning, average salary after graduation, students receiving Pell Grants, average SAT reading scores, average SAT math scores, average SAT writing scores and average ACT scores.

Basically, the Softball Bound App gives you all the info that you would spend massive amounts of time searching for in one app for D1-D3 schools.
