Vann Stuedeman Hired as Illinois Pitching Coach

Vann Stuedeman has been hired as the new pitching coach at Illinois.

Stuedeman spent eight seasons as the head coach at Mississippi State, a tenure that ended in 2019, and collected a 275-190 overall record during her time in Starkville. During her time at Mississippi State, Stuedeman led the Bulldogs to seven NCAA tournament appearances.

Prior to taking the helm in Starkville, Stuedeman spent more than a decade on staff at Alabama, where she was part of a Crimson Tide staff that led the program to three SEC regular-season titles and a total of six Women’s College World Series appearances.

In addition to her time in the SEC, Stuedeman’s coaching resume also includes stints on staff at West Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville, as well as time at the high school level.

Since leaving Mississippi State in 2019, she has worked as a realtor and high school coach.
