What are your top individual accomplishments?

  • Making the varsity softball team for my school as a 7th grader
  • Making Extra Inning Softball’s top 100
  • Being nominated for Select 30
  • All my other accomplishments were made as a team, not individually. I just turned 13 in January, so I have plenty more accomplishments coming my way!

What are your strengths in softball?
As an infielder playing first base I can make picks in the ground or catch the overthrown balls seem easier than it looks. As a hitter I can hit for contact, and I can hit for power and it’s coming from the left side. I am a true lefty!

Overall, a big strength for me is that I never get into my feelings when times come bad. Even when I am in a slump, I always stay positive and cheer my team on.

What is your favorite softball memory?
In 2021 we played our World Series in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., I had such a fun time with my family and teammates. My favorite memory will be going white water rafting. I had a great time, and I will go again.

Do you have any softball superstitions?
My only superstition that I have is I have to have my bat bag packed the same way all the time.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen happen on a softball field?
It was Sunday night, and we were in the championship game, our pitcher was in mid-pitch and suddenly it went dark, the power went out. You could not see in front of you, everyone started screaming, parents had to use the flashlights on their cell phones so the teams could at least get to the dugouts.

The reaction everyone had was hilarious. We could not continue with the game but one of the moms started playing music and with the flashlights both teams started dancing and singing. It made for a fun time for both teams.

What is one thing you have learned from your coach that will always stay with you?
I have had the same travel ball coach (Scott Baudoin) for five years and he has told us many things, but one thing that will always stick with me is to always be coachable. College coaches do not look for non-coachable athletes. They look for athletes that are coaching and have a heart for the game.

What is something unique about you?
I have always loved all kinds of art: musical arts, literal arts and just art in general. In 2020 when COVID hit, and everyone was quarantine, and I could not practice softball so taught myself how to draw. I still draw and have made so much improvement since then. I recently started playing the piano; I love the way the keys sound so peaceful.

Who is your hero and why?
My parents. They have sacrificed so much for me. They take time off from work to bring me to practices, lessons, games, or any other functions I have. They are always there for me, whether good or bad. My Dad uses his free time out with me and teaches me drills to do. My Mom uses her free time to help me with my studies. The three of us are close. I adore and love both of my parents with all my heart.

What is your favorite quote or motto?
I have two of them:

  • Stay Ready, so you don’t have to get ready.
  • Smooth is Fast, Fast is Smooth

What are your strengths in softball?
My strengths in softball include quick hands and feet and reacting to situations with my natural instincts. One of my favorites is when I picked a runner off after a base hit single.  The runner rounded first base and I caught her off guard and threw the ball to first to get her out.

What is your favorite softball memory?
My favorite softball memory was hitting my first over the fence home run in a game.

Do you have any softball superstitions?
I must wear eye black, hair bow with bubble braids, sunglasses, and a visor.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen happen on a softball field?
I had to pinch run for my teammate, and I didn’t know what side to go on and we bumped into each other, and I fell over.

What is one thing you have learned from your coach that will always stay with you?
The one thing I have learned from my coach is to believe in yourself and never give up.

What is something unique about you?
I am the only player on my travel ball team who is an only child. My nickname is “Sparkplug.” I was given that name from my first travel ball coach because I can get loud and rally the team up.

Who is your hero and why?
Devyn Flaherty who plays second base for FSU is my hero. She is talented and is an aggressive 2nd baseman.

What is your favorite quote or motto?
I have two favorite mottos:

  • Be who you are not what people tell you to be.
  • If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
