This week we have two Tweets of the Week, both of which come from the Lone Star State.
The first is from Jessica Mullins, a 2020 right-handed pitcher who plays for Barber’s Hill (Mont Belvieu, Texas) High and also the Texas Bombers Gold team coached by Scott Smith.
Barber’s Hill was a state semi-finalist in 2018 and Jessica was an All-State honoree as well as an All-District Co-Defensive MVP. At Texas State she will get pitching instruction by one of the top players in softball history, Cat Osterman, who will be on this year’s USA Softball Women’s National Team.

Our other Tweet of the Week comes from Shelby Nelson, a 2022 catcher with the Texas Glory Adkins Gold team coached by Doug Gorsuch.
Shelby wrote us to say about her commitment to the Texans: “Tarleton has this hometown feel that made me feel instantly comfortable. The university is rich in traditions that engage the entire student body. While I was on campus I noticed how all the various sports teams are very supportive of one another. It’s like one big Texan family rather than individual sports teams.”
