The Extra Inning Softball Combine, powered by 4Flames Athletics, will be held on August 9, 2026, in Albertville, Alabama, at the American Fields Complex inside Sand Mountain Park Amphitheater—and is open to any athlete who wants to attend.
With 13.7 million impressions on the Extra Inning Softball platform over the past year, this event significantly enhances player visibility.
Each measurable is tracked, validated, and scored to create a complete athletic profile. Not only will players receive their combine stats but will receive a unique ranking score specific to their combine measureables.
All combine rankings and verified metrics will be published free of charge on the Extra Inning Softball Leaderboard HERE, making them accessible to college coaches and the broader softball community.
Combine Scores are derived from testing across the following:

Pitchers will not receive a standalone combine composite score due to the complexity of position-specific measurements; however, their performance data will still be published on the leaderboards, organized from highest to lowest performance. They will also be considered for an overall combine ranking based on SPI, OPI, and API, as outlined above.
Catchers will be evaluated using SPI, OPI, and API indicators, in addition to position-specific metrics including pop time and catcher’s overhand throwing velocity.
