A postseason stalwart with a couple of conference championships to their credit in the late 2010s, Louisiana Tech fell off that successful train for a couple of years thereafter. In 2020 and 2021, the Lady Techsters went from the top of the heap to a program that left people scratching their heads at how a once-quality program took such a deep dive downward.
Last summer, the Lady Techsters hired Josh Taylor as head coach, bringing in the former Nevada skipper to rebuild their program. That rebuilding took Taylor all of six months – an impressive work product, to be sure – and culminated with a remarkable run in conference play that saw the squad win the C-USA regular-season title.
