2025 Extra Elite 100: Nomination Deadline is Tomorrow… Check Out This Amazing Profile on Jayelle Austin!

Jayelle Austin, an outfielder on the Oklahoma Athletics National 2025/26 Madden/Knight team, is a candidate for the 2025 Extra Elite 100 and with this impressive nomination, you can see why!

The nomination deadline for the 2025 Extra Elite 100 players for this round of rankings is tomorrow–Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 5 pm MST.

We often get asked: “What type of information would you like on the submission form?

Well, it’s subjective, of course, but we’d tried to ask the pertinent questions in our nomination form (see link HERE) but we may have seen the ideal nomination form come in this month from Frank Knight, the head coach of the Oklahoma Athletics National 2025/26 Madden/Knight team, who has nominated Jayelle Austin, an accomplished multi-sport athlete.

Want to see one of the most thorough submissions we’ve ever received for an Extra Elite 100 nominee?  And what is a great example of providing background info on a prospect?

Check out Coach Knight’s info–about as complete and in-depth as we’ve ever received!–below and how his insights and level of detail are quite impressive.

And, oh yea… it helps to have such an obviously talented candidate as Jayelle to nominate!!!

Why should the player be ranked here?
Coach Knight: Jayelle “JL” has the “IT” factor. She is one of the girls that brings the college coaches out. She is a 5 tool player and has been for many years. Her mom says triple threat I say 5 tool. She can hit for power, provide base hits when the team needs it, and has an excellent short game. Her great speed allows her to drop a bunt for a base hit, turn a double into a triple and cover a great distance of ground as an outfielder, robbing opponents of home runs and base hits, throwing out runners with a strong arm as well. I’ll leave it like this from a quote from a power 5 school on a ground ball she hit to 1B. He said why dive at 1B, by the time she got up with the ball JL was standing on the bag!

Human interest insights
Jayelle earns straight A’s and plans on becoming a veterinarian. She is a part of the National Junior Honor Society. Jayell also plays Varsity basketball where she received All-Conference Honors, was Player of the Game in two games, and tournament MVP in 2 tournaments. She also tied a long-standing school record in rebounds in a single game with 18 and was just 27 rebounds shy of breaking the season high rebounding record with 253 total boards equalling 10.2 per game. Her coaches measured her vertical at 28.5 inches which is far above the norm. She also runs track where she jumped a personal best 17.5 feet. She also runs the 100, 200, and 4×100. Jayelle has three brothers who are all athletes. Her oldest brother is in college studying to be a lawyer, and her 2nd oldest played football at Langston last year. Her younger brother is probably her biggest supporter, b/c he has to. He is going into the 7th grade and is often caught running onto the field when she hits home runs.
