This week, we wrap up the 2025 Extra Elite 100 as finish with the Top 10 on Friday, March 19, 2021 (next week, though, we’ll have the players ranked #’s 101-500)!
One of those who you’ll likely be reading about more this week (hint, hint) is a standout from the Lone Star State who continues to impress every time she takes the field…
Last May, we did a feature on 2025 standout pitcher Keira Crosby titled Extra Star Power: 2025 Texas Pitcher Keira Crosby is Strong in Her Faith, “Ice Cold” in the Circle in which we profiled the Texas right-hander who would gone on to have a fantastic summer and be ranked in the Top 5 of the initial 2025 Extra Elite 100.
Keira hasn’t missed a beat starting the 2021 season, either, as she started her first varsity high school game on Feb. 20th for her HCYA Lady Warriors team against a Houston area 5A school.
How’d she do?
The 8th grader did alright, throwing a seven-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and just two walks!
But it hasn’t been easy for Keira and not just because of COVID and all that upheaval that’s caused… a situation over the holidays has made her take a deeper look at life off the field too.
In December 2020 over the Christmas break, one of her best friend’s father died suddenly and unexpectedly at a young age.
“I’ve known him my whole life and he has been like family,” Keira explains. “This has been hard not only because I hurt for my friend but because I miss him also. I give a lot of my time to softball but going through this has made me more aware of making time for relationships and how much they matter.”
Still, she leans on her faith and wants to use this experience to ensure she shares her time and talents with others.
“Although, we are still grieving not having him here,” the athlete concludes, “I know we’ll see him again. I’ve learned that we don’t know how much time we have on this earth, so I want to strive to make the most of it and make time for others.”

Coaches’ Comments:
Keira is a kid that excels at everything she does, but Pitching is something she stands out at. This kid is just different from anyone I have ever coached. Her Faith in God is contagious, and she is a great teammate. Being around this young lady makes you a better person on and off the field. But do not be fooled by her humble personality, she is a fierce competitor and refuses to go down without a fight. She may not throw the hardest or move the ball to perfection, but she does both exceptionally well and does what it takes to WIN!! Keira is a Winner and will continue to do exactly that in life. It’s not in her DNA to do anything different. The D1 coach that gets the opportunity to coach this young lady will be blessed with a lifetime of memories like I have been.

*****
Keira is a true 5-tool player that is also an incredible pitcher. She has a dominating presence on the mound. Her pitching is smooth with no wasted motion. She has great velocity, change of speed, and movement. She rarely misses her spots with any pitch. She knows how to pitch and not just throw.
Keira has great gap to gap and home run power at the plate. She hits for a high average and has great discipline. She will take a walk and doesn’t chase the pitches out of the zone.
Keira has a driving passion for the game and a positive attitude on and off the field. She can fill into any position that she is asked to play. With her athleticism, speed, and knowledge of the game, it is a true asset to have on a team. It is a joy to coach her on our High School team and I look forward to her many successes
— Alan Snedeker, Head Coach: HCYA Lady Warriors

Keira is a fierce competitor with that fire instinct. She does a great job on moving the ball and mixing speeds. She is continuing to learn and grow her mindset and knowledge of the game.
