The Fastpitch Fan Pick for the Class of 2027 Extra Elite 100 (#5–#1) is now live! This gives the softball community a chance to weigh in on who they believe are the top five players at each position. While official rankings are determined by the Extra Inning Softball Rankings Committee, this fan-driven poll offers a fun way to show support and celebrate rising talent.
For a limited time—Saturday, May 24 through Monday, May 26 at 10 p.m. EST—fans can view video highlights and vote every four hours in the Dugout Discussions Polls on Extra Inning Softball. Don’t miss your chance to make your voice heard!
How the Fastpitch Fan Pick Works
The Fastpitch Fan Pick is an exciting and interactive way for the softball community to celebrate standout athletes in the Extra Elite 100. With rankings #100 through #6 already revealed, it’s now the fans’ turn to weigh in on who they believe should claim the top five spots at each position.
Voting opens TODAY and closes Monday at 10 p.m. EST, giving fans the entire weekend to get involved. Results from the Fan Pick will be announced on Tuesday, followed by the official Extra Inning Softball Top 5 rankings on Wednesday.
The player with the most votes in each category will be named the Fastpitch Fan Pick #1, with the remaining spots determined by total vote count. It’s a fun and meaningful way for fans to recognize elite talent and show support for the game’s rising stars.

Abby Atkinson, a standout pitcher for 16U Texas Glory, has emerged as one of the most well-rounded student-athletes in the 2027 class. With a sub-1.00 ERA and an impressive strikeout rate, she earned AFCS All-Tournament honors and was named District and County Pitcher of the Year in Texas. Off the field, Atkinson maintains a perfect academic record, ranks first in her class, and leads in multiple school and community organizations. A true competitor with high character, she balances varsity softball and basketball while actively volunteering in her community—making her a complete player and leader on and off the field.

Macie Bryant, a dominant pitcher for Impact Gold Jazz 16U, has solidified herself as one of the premier arms in the nation. Known for her elite velocity, Bryant consistently throws in the mid-60s and mixes speeds with precision, featuring a powerful rise, sharp screw, split, and a deceptive changeup. She led Team USA to a gold medal at the Junior World Cup, throwing a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts in the championship game. Her impact extends beyond the circle with power at the plate and leadership on the field. Bryant is a true competitor and proven winner on the national stage.

Morgan Maxwell, a left-handed pitcher for Georgia Impact Premier 09, has quickly built a reputation as one of the most electric arms in the 2027 class. As a freshman, she earned First Team All-State honors in Georgia’s 4A classification and was recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the top high school freshmen in the nation. Maxwell has competed at the highest levels, earning Most Outstanding Pitcher at the USSSA East National Championship and selections to USA Softball’s HPP program and All-American events. With elite velocity, command, and poise, Maxwell continues to stand out as a true competitor and game-changer.

Braylee Spence, a standout pitcher for GA Impact – Taylor, has solidified herself as one of the most reliable arms in the 2027 class. The Oklahoma native led her high school team to the 3A State Championship in 2024 after finishing as runner-up in 2023. A two-time District Pitcher of the Year and a 2024 All-Ardmoreite Super Team honoree, Spence combines power, movement, and composure in the circle. Known for her elite riseball and ability to pitch in high-pressure situations, she consistently takes the ball in the biggest moments and delivers. Her work ethic and consistency continue to turn heads.

Janie Goldin is one of the most explosive catchers in the 2027 class. A sophomore at powerhouse Buford High School in Georgia, she was named All-State in 2024 and currently holds the program’s top career batting average. Known for her elite athleticism, Goldin also excels in track, earning a county championship in the long jump and competing at the national level. Her speed is unmatched—she’s consistently posted the fastest home-to-first times at national camps. Behind the plate, her leadership and quick release elevate pitchers, while her ability to hit for average and power makes her a true dual threat.

Isabelle Lawrence is an elite 2027 catcher known for her advanced defensive skills, strong arm, and field presence. As a freshman, she earned a starting spot on varsity and was named Defensive MVP for Impact Gold Jazz National. Her pop time of 1.63 ranks among the best nationally in her age group, and she continues to excel in top-tier events such as the Colorado Sparkler Power Pool Showcase. Lawrence has also been named to multiple all-tournament teams and earned player of the tournament honors at the IG Fall Exposure. Her high softball IQ and consistency make her a standout behind the plate.

Keren Leal is a standout 2027 catcher who brings power, leadership, and defensive reliability to the Georgia Impact Premier-O’Neal 09 roster. As the Region 7-6A Player of the Year and a GACA First Team All-State selection, Leal has proven herself as one of Georgia’s top high school players. She also earned 6A All-County honors from the Gwinnett Diamond Club. Offensively, she consistently delivers with power to all fields, while behind the plate, her arm strength and game awareness make her a game-changer. Leal’s presence, poise, and production make her a force to watch in every tournament she enters.

Adelle Metz is a multi-sport standout and accomplished 2027 catcher for the Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker/Norwood. A Class 5 state champion, Metz earned First Team All-Region and All-District honors in both 2023 and 2024, along with Second Team All-State recognition. Also a competitive javelin thrower, she holds her school’s record at 129 feet, 2 inches. Known for her leadership behind the plate and powerful arm, Metz pairs her athletic talent with academic excellence, earning Honor Roll and All-Academic accolades. A National Honor Society candidate and dedicated volunteer, Metz is a driven student-athlete with the tools to succeed at the next level.

Madi Wainwright is a high-impact 2027 catcher for Indiana Magic Gold – Bennett/Goddard, known for her athleticism, energy, and leadership behind the plate. A consistent offensive threat, she combines power with discipline, and defensively commands the game with advanced framing and a strong arm. Wainwright earned a spot on the Triple Crown Colorado Sparkler All-Americans Team and holds a prestigious On-Deck 5-Star rating. Off the field, she was named a Regional Sports Network Preseason All-Area selection and received the Softball Sportsmanship Award at Lake Central High School. Also a black belt in taekwondo, she brings intensity and focus to everything she does.

Aspen Boulware is a standout 2027 infielder for Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier – Thompson and a member of the 18U USA Women’s National Team. Known for her elite athleticism and competitive drive, Boulware earned South Carolina Player of the Year honors in 2024 after a dominant season at Gray Collegiate. She also collected All-State, All-Region, and Region 4 Player of the Year awards, along with the program’s Offensive Player of the Year recognition. A clutch performer and vocal leader, Boulware was selected to the Lady Rebel Invitational All-Tournament Team and continues to elevate her game on both national and international stages.

As a center fielder and leadoff hitter for the Birmingham Thunderbolts 08, she brings speed, power, and defensive prowess to every game. Ayers earned TSSAA All-District and District MVP honors while helping her high school team to a Tennessee DII-A state runner-up finish. A 2024 First Team All-State selection, she also led her basketball team to a state title and received Miss Basketball consideration.
