Announcing: Softball Community Votes
Extra Inning Softball is excited to annouce the Fastpitch Fan Pick, a brand-new feature that lets the softball community have a say in who they believe are the Elite Top 5 at each position!
Starting immediately, fans can visit our website to view the full Fastpitch Fan Pick schedule and see when voting will open for each position.
For three days only, the community will have the chance to watch video highlights of the Top 5 players at each position and cast their votes on our website polls page.
Once the voting period ends, Extra Inning Softball will announce the Fastpitch Fan Pick selections, revealing who the community believes deserves the top spot. Then, the following day, we will release our official Extra Elite Top 5 picks, determined through detailed analysis and expert evaluation.
How the Fastpitch Fan Pick Works
Each position will be released in groups of five (e.g., 100-96) over the weeks leading up to the Extra Elite 100 rankings, with the top 6-100 announced first.
Once the Extra Elite 6-100 are annouced, the voting process opens, allowing the softball community to determine their own top five order.
Fans can cast their vote every FOUR hours, adding to the excitement and competition.
To ensure fans make informed decisions, video highlights of each top-five player—selected by the Extra Inning Softball rankings committee—will be available on our Dugout Discussions Polls page.
Voting will always begin on a Friday and close on Monday night, giving the community the weekend to participate. The Fastpitch Fan Pick winners will be revealed on Tuesday, followed by the official Extra Inning Softball top five rankings on Wednesday.
It is important to note that while the community gets to view video highlights, the Extra Inning Softball rankings committee conducts an in-depth evaluation of each player to determine the official rankings.
This community-driven event adds an exciting layer to the ranking process, allowing fans to make predictions and see how their choices compare to the expert analysis.
