As part of Extra Inning Softball’s August Back-to-School Month, we’re bringing you the ultimate checklist to ensure a smooth transition back to school and the softball field. Be on the lookout for special back-to-school games and tips throughout the month!

  1. Academic Organization:
    • School Supplies: Gather notebooks, pens, pencils, and any other materials needed for your classes.
    • Backpack Ready: Ensure your backpack is in good condition and ready to carry your gear and books.
    • Planner Setup: Use a planner or digital calendar to track homework, tests, and softball practices.
  2. Schedule Management:
    • Class and Practice Schedule: Review your school timetable and practice schedule to manage your time effectively.
    • Balance Commitments: Set up a weekly schedule that includes time for studying, practice, and rest.
  3. Homework and Study Routine:
    • Study Space: Create a dedicated, distraction-free study area at home.
    • Homework Time: Establish a consistent homework routine that avoids conflicts with practice sessions.
    • Exam Preparation: Organize study materials and set aside time for exam preparation and review.
  4. Team Communication:
    • Contact Info: Update and confirm your contact information with coaches and teammates.
    • Team Meetings: Attend team meetings or check-ins to stay informed about the season’s goals and events.
  5. Health and Wellness:
    • Physical Exam: Schedule a physical exam to ensure you’re fit for both school and softball activities.
    • Sleep Routine: Maintain a consistent sleep schedule to stay energized for school and practice.

  6. Equipment Check:

    • Uniform Prep: Clean and repair your uniform, and make sure it’s ready for the first game.
