Unity 2026-Butler C/3B/SS Bella Moussa, a freshman at Midlothian High in Virginia, finished up her stay at the USSSA Select 30 National Training Camp in Las Vegas, NV.
Here’s her blog from Day 4, Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

Today was my final day in Vegas at the West Coast S30 event. It was a shorter day compared to the others, but still filled with fun. This weekend has taught me so much and given me so many great opportunities and memories.
This morning, our team had the early 8 a.m. game. It was our last game as a team and although we didn’t win, we still had a great show out. I went 3 for 3 at the plate while also making some good defensive plays and stealing bases.
Our team played well and got better each day we stepped on the field this weekend and even though we didn’t always win, we still had a lot of fun. A big thank you to our coaches for the weekend Makenzie and Skylar Ball, who were so amazing and very fun to be around.
After our game finished, my mom and I went back to our hotel for a bit until the S30 game rosters were announced. I was selected to be on the Red American team among some of my other teammates and met some new ones, which was a lot of fun. It was also great to have USSSA’s and University of Washington’s Ali Aguilar be our coach!
Our team put up a great fight, but unfortunately we lost by two. It was a close 7-inning game and we had lots of fun on both sides. Both teams got very generous prizes. Our team’s being free custom fielder’s mitts from Marucci. I can’t wait to get home and build mine!
After a long successful weekend in Vegas, I am ready to go back home to the rest of my family and get prepared for high school tryouts. I can’t wait to share my stories and experiences with my friends and family back home. Another thing I’m super excited for is getting back to work and take things from this weekend and learn from them while at lessons!
It’s been a fun ride and as always thank you to my mom for taking me all over the country to follow my dreams. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for her always setting me up for great opportunities! Thank you to Extra Inning (Softball) for giving me this chance to blog and keep you all updated. It has been so much fun.
