We’re just halfway through the day at PGF Nationals 18U Premier play and we look to have our Players of the Day already.
*** Sage Mardjetko, the outstanding pitcher for the Beverly Bandits – Conroy team, who we profiled yesterday for her great play, upped her game today by pitching a perfect game in a 1-0 masterpiece against the Mojo – Danley/Fisher team in the 18U Premier winner’s bracket.
She had 15 strikeouts and told Extra Inning Softball after the game:
“My goal is personally to be the best I can be because, ass a team, we love to play with each other and support each other.”
A top 10 ranked player in the 2023 class, Sage got the only run she needed in the second inning when 2024 infielder AnnaLea Adams, committed to Auburn, homered against 2024 pitcher Audrey Lowry, an Oklahoma commit.

Coach Bill Conroy added:
“I feel like she’s pitching as well right now as I’ve ever seen her.
*** It’d be amazing to hit six RBIs in a game, yes? How about six… in one inning?
That’s what outstanding 2025 catcher/corner infielder Kendall Wells did today for the Georgia Impact – Sampson 18U team in a 14-4 win over the Hotshots.
She smashed a two-run double and then a grand slam, all in the first inning. Talk about putting a game out of reach.
We talked to a source in the Impact who said:
“Kendall is like (former Alabama great) Bailey Hemphill in that she is a happy-go-lucky player who loves to have fun and can do such much damage at the plate.”
