In a surprising development, the reigning 2019 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) champion USSSA Pride organization has announced via social media that it is now longer part of the league:

The Pride won the Cowles Cup, the championship of the NPF, this summer by beating the #1 seed Chicago Bandits.
The team further issued a statement regarding plans in the future, with games against college teams this fall and a schedule to be announced later in 2020.
This will likely be a similar format as the Conroe-Texas based Scrap Yard Fast Pitch organization which has played games against college teams as well as USA Softball’s Women’s National Team:
To our fans: we will still be an active professional team! You can catch the Pride in action as soon as November against FSU & UF. Stay tuned for the release of our full 2020 schedule soon.
