Claire Lebrecht on What Softball Taught Her
Claire Lebrecht, a 12U pitcher for Greenwave Elite and a Rising Stars Influencer, has already learned more from softball than many do in a lifetime. A member of the 12U Northeast Rising Stars Watch List, Lebrecht has been pitching since she was 7 years old and has already tallied an impressive 360 strikeouts. But for this Class of 2030 standout, the numbers are just part of the story.
As a Rising Stars Influencer, Lebrecht reflects on the life lessons softball has taught her—lessons about resilience, effort, attitude, and belief. Off the field, she also competes in basketball and volleyball, showing the same competitive spirit that fuels her in the circle. Inspired by her favorite player, Kayla Beaver, and dreaming of one day playing for Alabama, Claire is using every pitch as a moment to grow.
Keep reading to discover the mindset behind her early success—and the wisdom she’s gained through the game.
