Head coach Todd Chaffin provides an analysis of the team and highlights the outstanding players on the roster…
When did the team/program start and how/why did it come to be?
Our 14U Fury team was put together in the beginning of the 2023 summer. The core group began by hiring Todd Chaffin from Bossier City La., as our head coach. We chose Chaffin because he had no connections to the team. He brought with him his daughter Raelin Chaffin, a D1 pitcher from LSU and Caroline Easom, Louisiana Tech’s second baseman. We sought out tough competition at quality tournaments to challenge our girls to grow as athletes. The results were incredible as we had a 32-1 record in the fall. This shows the type of talent our girls display along with a lot of hard work by some amazing young ladies, dedicated parents and coaches. Our goal for this team continues to be; to prove that we can have a team of local girls who are able to compete and be successful on the national level.
