A pair of Alabama Crimson Tide players have entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to sources close to the program.
Pitcher Madison Preston and outfielder Kloyee Anderson both have entered the transfer portal since the Crimson Tide’s elimination in the Women’s College World Series semifinals on Sunday afternoon.
Preston pitched sparingly this season as a sophomore, posting a 5.53 ERA in 12.2 innings of work, adding 14 strikeouts. In 2018, Preston posted a 7-5 record in 21 appearances and finished her freshman season with a 3.17 ERA.
Anderson was the Tide’s primary pinch runner this season as a freshman, appearing in 52 games, including three appearances in the Women’s College World Series.
She had two hits and two RBIs in 16 at-bats on the season, but scored 18 runs and went 11-for-12 in stolen base attempts. Anderson scored two runs in the WCWS.
Alabama finished the 2019 season with a 60-10 overall record, and an 18-6 mark in SEC play.
No information was immediately available on new destinations for either player.
